Some people get shower thoughts. Queen Bee gets shower SONGS which often get played immediately as if an anthem for the day. This is today’s anthem.
The process goes something like this:
“Hey babe, what’s that song that goes ‘herbaderb, a shmerbaderb, a somebody to lean on‘?”
“Oh that’s by an artist called… MØ I believe? Pretty sure it’s just called Lean On“
“Hey Google, play Lean On by MØ”
I’m glad she can hold a tune well enough for me to decipher what she can hear in her head.
It’s been a long while since I last heard this song and I don’t remember it sounding quite so… 90s. It’s still quite a fun track though and used to be part of my regular running playlist “Flying”.
I’m not usually much of a lyrics guy. I couldn’t tell you the words to the verses of many of my favourite songs let alone long forgotten one hit wonders. It’s kind of fun to look at this song now and see (to me) it’s about reflecting back on times gone by, remembering where we came from and looking forward to the future with “someone to lean on”. This is me. Every damn day. Feeling fortunate to be here where I am, with my loving life partner at my side, wondering what that future will look like…
